Issue 1: Family Computer
With Family Computer, we are seeking anything from nostalgia about your favorite Neopet to the freedom that came with computers being tethered to one room. We’re looking for your story of fighting with your siblings to get a turn on the computer or a compilation of what would be in your family computer’s recycle bin. We’re looking for a comic depicting your first online relationship or a painting done in MS Paint. Whatever Family Computer makes you think of, we want it!
Dirtball Zine is looking everything from writing (poetry, short prose, lyrics) to visual arts (illustration, fine art, photography, collage) to creative chaos (scribbles, trash you picked up off the sidewalk, origami money) - as long as it fits our theme, we want your work! If you're unsure if your work qualifies, please email dirtballzine@gmail.com
Please limit all submissions to 5 pieces and keep writing under 800 words
Submission period will close on May 1st at 11:59pm (PST)
We will respond with acceptance or rejection by May 15th
Dirtball Zine prioritizes queer artists currently residing in or from the greater Seattle area. If you do not meet these identities, you may still submit for consideration.
